My Last Day in the Solomons

For the last day, we visited an island, walked a couple of miles through the jungle to see some caves, then, had a nice lunch provided by some locals.

The Ocean on the way to the island
A school

A coconut that has started to grow, out of the ground even
We reached the other side after about an hour of hiking and several cuts on the hands and legs
Me on the other side (so everyone knows that I actually made it over
Dan enters the first cave
Fruit bats on the ceiling
ME!
walking over to the next cave (which I didn't take pictures of)
lunch is uncovered -- the fish was probably some of the best fish I have ever had
A PVC pipe band
Dan, Mike, Chris, and John watching the band play
Some of the locals (right before we left the island)
Mike, Me and Dan -- about to leave the island
leaving the island, the person in the front was our host (he spent a couple of years in Australia, so, he spoke the best English)
Isn't this a postcard view
I like this picture, even though it isn't straight (the boat was rocking)
Doesn't this look nice?
That evening, we had dancers and players from another island come over. They had real bamboo pipes
The dancers
More of the dancers
A big moth that sat down on the chair in front of me
A pile of crayfish, after we were done
Chris [the monster] was quite hungry :)
